Day 26...a week later

Took this today while out on some trails. Love the color....and it's hard to believe it grows out of the top of a prickly cactus!!!

Day 25

Last weekend we went to an antique shop and Chris found this Indian figure. I fell in love with it the minute I saw it. (and it was only $10!!!) I had left it on the cedar chest downstairs and the other day, the sun came through the window at the top of the stairs and it shined down to the living room and lit up my little Indian guy. I HAD to take pictures of him!!!

Day 24...finally

These pictures were taken at an old abandoned mercury mine in Sunflower, AZ.
I love the gears and how rusty/old everything was there. I thought they'd make great pictures!

HAVE I REALLY MISSED 2 WEEKS???

I cannot believe 2 weeks have gone by! My mom sent me an email asking where my pictures were! hahaha! So I better get back in the groove! This picture was taken in the evening over at the Superstition Museum. It's such a cute little church. There are several 'out-buildings' at the museum. We haven't been there yet, we just pulled over to the side of the road and I shot this picture! We'll go sometime and I hope to get better ones!!! In the background are the Superstition Mountains. I love them!!!

Day 23

It's nothing special photographically, but this is one of my favorite pictures that I took of Gunther and Roxy. Gunther died several months ago and we miss him much. Roxy is still with us and has fun with Cooper. She's not too keen on the cat though!!!

Day 22

We took this on a trip to Sedona, AZ....it's the Chapel of the Holy Cross...built right into the side of the mountain!!! Oh, and the crazy thing is....this one was taken with Chris' cell phone!!!! I swear it's better than my camera!!! (which ran out of battery just before we got to the chapel!!!)

Day 21

The funny thing is...I took this yesterday, FOR yesterday and forgot to post it up!!! This was taken in the early morning sun along the Apache Trail. I took a lot of others, some good, some bad...just playing around. This one is too "simple" but the ones I thought would be really good lacked something. This one is decent enough to show the beauty out here. I need to get a photography book!!!

I took this while sitting in Chris' Jeep on one of the trails at Rausch Creek ORV Park back in Pennsylvania. Obviously the top was off! hahhaa

Days 17, 18 and19

I don't even deserve an audience at the rate I'm going. It's been really busy at work and time to run out and take pictures worth posting has been hard to come by! These three pictures are from the first time I ever owned a digital camera...just after moving to Alaska in 2002. These were from the first time out with the camera. I love these pictures!!!
