I am trying to post up a new photo every day. Some days are better than others....easier than others. I love certain things, but want to break out of the 'norm' for me and learn to shoot new and different things. No matter what, I hope you enjoy the ones I have posted and keep coming back to see more!!!

Day Eleven
Gloomy day out in the desert. We went driving around. Not a lot of good pictures due to lack of a good mix of sun and clouds. It was ALL clouds with icky light. BUT I did manage a shot of my favorite subject...my Jeep. (yes, the front fenders are missing...one met it's fate with a boulder while on a great trail...the other, due to husband's wild navagation skills entering our garage. *sigh*)
On a side note... I think I need a digital photography for dummies book.
Day Ten
My sleeping tiger, Jeeper. King of all the Casa De Taylor Realm. Taking a nap in the sun after a long morning of protecting our house from spiders, scorpions, and other tiny uglies. I have yet to see a bug in this house....and I believe it is largely due to our awesome kitty!!! He will literally eat anything!!!
(this is saturday's picture...but we had company last night and I never got around to posting. Another one for today will be up later!)

Day Eight
Really long day at work. Once I got home, I stayed and didn't go out anywhere for pictures. So, I took one of my ottoman. This is the pattern of the ottoman and the throw pillows on our awesome couch/chaise. (the couch/chaise is the same red as in the ottoman) Neat pattern. Promise to have better pics tomorrow/this weekend!!!

Day Seven
I'm cheating today. YES! I'm ashamed, but not enough to NOT post it. I'm going to pull out a picture from the arboretum last week. It's an old Dodge pickup that was sitting in one area. I was smitten.
I took some pictures of my cat today, but nothing to write home (or blog) about. This IS tough when you're just home to clean the house!!! I'll have to do better tomorrow!!!

Day Five
Today is my beautiful husband's birthday!!! His parents are visiting and his aunt and uncle came to town too....so we went on a steamboat ride though and around Canyon Lake. Then we had lunch at Tortilla Flat (all had a great time). We then headed to "Mini Grand Canyon" and took even MORE pictures. So, choosing JUST ONE was painful again today...especially since I took over 200!!!! This is from the Mini Grand Canyon...a beautiful place about 23 miles from our house.

Day Four
Well, we had some CRAZY weather here in AZ today. Cold and rainy, then warm and clearing, only to turn stormy again, thunder/lightning and drop a bunch of hail on us. Even though the sun came back out about an hour ago....the iceballs are still in the grass in the front yard. I captured pictures of cloud formations and ice covered grounds, yet the picture I'm picking to post today is of my pup, Cooper. Even with him, there a few to choose from...but this one I liked because his "sitting for pictures" came to an end when he saw the cat in the window watching us from inside. All bets were off and this was the last I got of him sitting nicely. He's adorable no matter what and thought I'd share that with you.

Day Three
Today's picture is from the front entrance of a restaurant we went to for lunch after perusing the Art Show in Scottsdale. This restaurant was very good...it's in Mesa and called RANCHO DE TIA ROSA. We had a great lunch and the pictures I took came out great. Unfortunately the challenge is to post just one.

Day Two
Today's pic was a hard one to choose, as I took almost 200 while at the Boyce Thompson Arboretum and then more on our 70+ mile drive through some of the prettiest terrain I've ever seen. So many were great. There was an old Dodge Power Wagon that had to be from the 50's...vast scenic views...amazing vistas...rock formations...too many things to choose. But one picture, although not the best of the day, keeps grabbing me. So it's the one I'm choosing. I love the colors...the smoothness of the succulents, the spiny tips of another, and the sunshine glare off of the flower pedals. It just makes me smile.
